Forum Update

14 03 2008

Just a quick note that our forums will be undergoing an update early this afternoon.  Hopefully all will go well and this message will end up being unnecessary, but just in case I wanted to give you all a heads up!

Progress Update

11 03 2008

We apologize for the silence over the past few weeks.  We’ve been hard at work on some new features for StudentBerry!

Currently we are testing a release that ads integration with the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and allows for data backups.  Also included are a few minor enhancements based on user feedback  as well as a revamping of how StudentBerry handles the trial period notifications.  This will really just be a small update we’re pushing out to address some of the more important issues, but expect some larger releases to follow shortly!

Thus far the trials are going pretty well, so expect the update within the week!  As always, you can keep track of StudentBerry’s progress by signing up for our mailing list along the right hand side.

A fresh version of StudentBerry has been released as of February 5th, 2008.  Those of you that downloaded your copies prior to that will need to head on over to the StudentBerry downloads page for your manual install, or http://m.StudentBerry.com for the OTA version.  A special thanks to those of you that helped us iron out a few of the issues.  You can view a list of changes over in the Forums.

StudentBerry is now on FaceBook!

5 02 2008

We’ve decided to go ahead and jump on the FaceBook bandwagon by creating a page for StudentBerry.  We’d like to welcome you to be one of the first people to take a look!  It’s a great way to show your support for StudentBerry and share it with your friends.  We appreciate any comments, joins, discussions, etc…!  To view the page, simply head on over to the StudentBerry FaceBook Page and sign up! It’s a little on the baron side at the moment, but expect updates shortly.

StudentBerry’s Price has been Lowered!

25 01 2008

We’ve been getting some really great feedback from all of you guys, and for that we cannot thank you enough.  One of the hardest things we faced when launching StudentBerry was a price point.  As a result, we’ve been paying particularly close attention to how people responded to StudentBerry’s price.  It’s pretty clear to us now that, for at least the time being, we’ve set the bar a little too high.  So from this point on StudentBerry can now be purchased for the low price of $19.95!

We’d love to thank our early release purchasers by offering a partial refund equal to the amount of the price change.  We’ll be processing those within the next few days so keep an eye out for them!  Also, all coupons currently available will also remain viable as an extra special early adopters discount.   Thanks for the amazing response we’ve been receiving over the past few days, keep the feedback coming!

So head on over to www.StudentBerry.com and pick up your free 15-day trial today!  OTA Download also available at http://m.studentberry.com!

Quick Tip: How to fix a stuck Blackberry trackball

17 01 2008

One of the few things that annoys me about my Blackberry 8830 is when the pearl or trackball gets stuck and no longer moves in a given direction (usually down in my case). Usually it’ll work itself out with a few seconds of vigorous rolling, but sometimes it seems to get stuck to no end. I’m pretty sure the culprit is some form of oil that gets between the ball and the sensor, so lately when it happens I’ve been giving it a quick, light swab of rubbing alcohol with a Q-Tip and working it around with a cloth for a second. It seems to un-stick almost immediately. Just a quick tip for all you Blackberry user’s out there!
